Professor Stuart B. Goodman is an internationally recognised orthopaedic surgeon and researcher with expertise in biomaterials, implant biocompatibility, musculoskeletal tissue regeneration and repair, and joint reconstruction. He is the Robert L. and Mary Ellenburg Professor of Surgery and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University, with a courtesy appointment in Bioengineering.

Professor Goodman has published over 700 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has held senior leadership roles across the orthopaedic and biomaterials fields, including President of the Society for Biomaterials and service on the Board of Directors of the Orthopaedic Research Society. He has also served as a consultant to the U.S. FDA and on the Council of the NIH National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases.
